So who is Jackson Frew....... I will let Jackson tell you in his own words
“My name is Jackson Frew, I’m 18 years old from Canberra. I am a professional Downhill Mountain bike racer, racing for the GT factory Racing team. I have just finished Year 12 at Erindale college as a part of the Talented sports academy, this has left me with the opportunity to fulfill my dream to compete as a full time athlete.
I am currently packing getting ready to head over to Fort William Scotland for the 3rd round of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup. Following the event I head to Austria and Canada for rounds 4 and 5 of the World Cup series. Leading up to these events I am sitting in 4th position in the Junior Men’s World Cup overall after 2 races, held in Lourdes, France and Cairns, Australia.
This I my second year in the Junior Category. I was lucky enough to stand on the World Championship Podium in Andorra at the end of last year, leading into this I’ve made changes in my training program including starting with Nick from A’Hern Fitness.
I’ve never felt better and never had so much confidence in my fitness leading in to such a stringent race schedule!”
