A'Hern Fitness, and specifically Nick, who has become one of the ambassadors of the event, is partnering up with Canberra’s inaugural CBR 100 Challenge, which will take place on March 21–22 2015. It will see teams of three tackle a 100km, 50km or 25km walk along our stunning new Centenary Trail. For those who like a challenge, there is a 50km and 100km run for solo competitors.
You don’t need to be an Ironman to do the CBR 100 Challenge, but you do need to be able to successfully walk your nominated distance. To help you train we will regularly post training programs on the CBR website , that will be designed for beginners, intermediate, and advanced fitness levels. These will be free and written by us, A'Hern Fitness.
The CBR 100 Challenge will take you along Canberra’s Centenary Trail from Lake Burley Griffin, up Mt Ainslie, across to Majura and out to Canberra’s northern border. From there the trail travels south through Hall Village and down to Black Mountain before cutting across to Red Hill. The final stretch runs alongside Parliament House on a sneakily hidden single track.
The Heart Foundation is the charity partner for this event and all money fund raised will feed into local programs and initiatives run by this organisation. This means money raised locally will stay here and help our community.
